MacBook Data Recovery done in house in Phuket

Can you just copy my MacBook hard drive or SSD onto an external hard drive?

Unfortunately not anymore and here is why…
Since 2015 MacBooks have started to have their storage chips called NANDs soldered onto the motherboard, also known as the logic board.
There is a push from Apple to integrate onto the motherboard as many components as possible.
Apple would argue it’s for latency and reliability purposes but even if that provides a slight improvement in latency and reliability, we would argue it’s for programmed obsolescence and excessive repair costs forcing consumers to buy new products.
Anyhow, that means your SSD or hard drive is no longer detachable from the computer but soldered on the motherboard.
And in the case the motherboard has stopped working, your data won’t be accessible and will be lost unless you have an up-to-date backup stored somewhere on an external drive or in cloud storage somewhere.

I don’t have a backup of my MacBook, what can I do?

If you don’t have a backup, your only chance to recover your data is to get the logic board repaired and back to life, at least enough, so the MacBook can be turned on to extract the data.
And that’s what we offer as a service to save the day if your data is invaluable to you or your boss.
Be aware that this is not a service that Apple will provide and when your motherboard failed you’ll only be offered a replacement motherboard which won’t contain any data.

What does it take to backup my MacBook’s data to prevent me from having to do a data recovery?

You can either buy an external hard drive to backup your MacBook storage device using Apple proprietary software TimeMachine (which is a great piece of software BTW) or use Apple’s cloud storage service called iCloud or any other cloud storage services.

However keep in mind that:
– iCloud does not backup the entire storage leaving some folders alone
– It costs a recurring monthly fees to get part of your information synced (not backed up) in the cloud

Why should I use your service to recover my MacBook Data in Phuket?

With us, you have the assurance that we will do everything we can to make it right at the first attempt.
We are leaders in the MacBook motherboard repair industry and this won’t be our first attempt when it comes to save your invaluable information.
Key point is you usually have only 1 chance to repair a motherboard. If you’re 2nd to work a motherboard for data recovery, the success rate will often drop dramatically.
The reason being, you no longer have to find the root cause of the original fault but you also to consider what the inexperienced technician could have done and reverse it.
And with these delicate electronic equipments, it doesn’t take much to fry the un-replaceable chip which contains the cryptographic key to unlock your data…

Therefore make the right choice and choose us to recover the data stuck in your MacBook, iMac, MacMini or MacPro.

Do you offer data recovery for other Mac models like the iMac, the MacMini or the MacStudio?

Yes indeed.
However we can’t give you the rate easily without assessing the model and the issue it’s having.
Please bring us your device and we’ll figure out what it takes and what it would cost on the spot.

Do you provide data recovery services for hard drives?

No we don’t. Hard drives are special devices that need the proper equipment to be serviced, and that has to be done in a dust free environment.
We don’t have enough demand for this purpose to justify buying the equipment or learning the skills.
